Andy and Sophia met through friends on Facebook! Whilst on holiday in Malta in July 2013 Andy proposed to Sophia  overlooking the Mediterranean. Their wedding took place on the 24th of August 2014 at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Panteleimon in Harrow followed by a beautiful reception at the Shendish Manor Hotel in Apsley .

Here they share their special day with our readers!

The Dress: Sophia had her dress designed and made at the Bridal Rogue Gallery on Chiltern Street London. It was a beautiful vintage rose colour with a mermaid asymmetric dip waste using 100 metres of tulle for the waterfall skirt. It had a gathered tulle corset with a lace appliqué on the it and on the skirt opening.

Sophia wore a pearl and diamante side head peace by Ivory & Co with simple Swarovski jewellery and Gina Swarovski encrusted sling back heels for her feet.

The Suit: Andy’s suit was made by his father in-law on Saville Road London. A two piece midnight blue suit with a white shirt a silver waistcoat ,matching cravat and handkerchief. His cufflinks were a gift by Sophia from Dubai.

The Attendants: Our koumera Sophia’s best friend wore a platinum grey off the shoulder Dessy Dress and Andy’s sister was our bridesmaid wearing a platinum grey mermaid style Ronald Joyce dress. We had two little bridesmaids who wore light peach 3D flower Ted Baker dresses and three other bridesmaids wearing vintage rose  lace Monsoon dresses. Our three best men wore three piece black suits and platinum cravats and handkerchiefs made by the bride’s father.

The Ceremony: Every moment was special on our big day but two moments that stand out for Sophia was the fact that Father Anastasios who was a priest at the church and the Greek school that Sophia attended as a little girl presided over the ceremony. Also the first steps we took together around the table as husband and wife were very special as we got to see all our friends and families faces and it was priceless seeing them all so happy for us!

The Cake :Made by Delicieux Cakes designed by Andy and Sophia. Square vintage inspired bottom tier with draped icing (red velvet), second tier was hexagon quilted icing with crystals (lemon sponge) ,third tier fresh flowers, fourth tier draping lace icing (Victoria sponge) and fifth tier (chocolate sponge) with draping pearls topped with flowers. Simply amazing!

Groom: Get the entertainment right and the rest will follow.

Bride: Try sourcing things yourself its amazing how much money you can save!

Beauty tips :I did my own hair and make up as that is my love and job, ( so everything I advise and do on other brides I did on myself. I used hair pieces on myself for added volume, no spray tans and keep skin hydrated with water on the run up, its amazing how much you neglect yourself.
